It was a hot, steamy summer day. I don't recommend Indy Lakes pay lakes, and I don't recommend Pine Lakes fishing lakes. So we packed up our gear and drove to Patoka lake. Sure enough, sam's fishing reports were right on the mark. The Indiana Crappie bite was hot !!

We had caught our limit, so we decided to try and catch some Indiana carp and catfish. That's when it happened ! One of the poles I had set out using wheatie baits took off. Figuring it was a small Indiana carp I just let it run. Ah, don't ya just love the sounds of a screamin drag ? Don't you ?

 That fish pulled us around the lake for over three hours.. I did see lots of Indiana Crappie anglers. Even thought the ice was over four inch's thick on the lake, Indiana Ice Fishing anglers were catching crappie and bluegill.

  I decided to set the hook again just to make sure the barb was stuck in real good. Oh my gosh !! Really made the fish mad. I kind of thought this might be a good story for the Hoosier Angler Magazine, but you have to be sober to post there ! Indiana Walleye, eyehunter, and campgroundsb. lol

We kept making our way onto the ice and did some Indiana Ice Fishing. We did hear something about a Shanty Shootout, and the 2011 Indiana Walleye Ice Fishing Derby.

  The fish kept pulling us through the Indiana Ice like we were an ice-breaker. Well, I was getting mad by this time and needed to use the bathroom, so I drew back and set the hook in the fish a few more times, and that only made the fish madder. 

  The fish took off like a rocket ship! That's when I first saw the fish, it was a Big Indiana Walleye. The  big walleye jumped, and then dove down. The Big Indiana Walleye drug us around so fast that the bottom of the boat caught on fire.

  It was just lucky for us that the Big Indiana Walleye jumped over that sandbar. Draggin' us over it and put out the fire. The Big Indiana Fish continued to pull us around.

  I thought I had the Big Indiana Fish under control, but as we got about 1/2 way the Indiana Covered Bridge and 1/2 way up the Indiana waterfall, the line snapped !

  Darn it, dag gum it, shoot, I knew I should of used Stren !!
